Sanitation Supervisor:


Positions will be located at the Further Processing facility until trained then move to assignments at Building #2 and Building #3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for supervising all facets of the cleaning and sanitation process for the entire processing plant efficiently and within budgetary constraints.
  2. Develops, maintain, and audit sanitation SOP’s for all equipment and areas.
  3. Performs sanitation inspections to ensure that SOP’s are followed properly.
  4. Monitors employee GMP and HACCP program to maintain company and USDA requirements.
  5. Responsible for daily employee scheduling to meet sanitation requirements.
  6. Responsible for providing complete training of all employees for proper sanitation proceedures, safety procedures, lockout-tagout, emergency evacuation, PPE, Hazcom, etc.
  7. Reviews daily sanitation documentation and checklists.
  8. Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  9. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
Supervisors will share the following responsibilities:
  1. Keeps accurate and up-to-date records (i.e. timecards, downtime records, absenteeism records, etc).
  2. Enforces company policies in a fair and consistent manner
  3. Encourages suggestions from employees which will improve production, quality, safety, and/or cost controls of production.
  4. Keeps manager informed on operation activities, employee activities, quality, safety and cost controls.
  5. Ability to supervise, evaluate and develop employees.
  6. Maintains consistent and through communications.
  7. Performs employee evaluations in a timely and consistent manner
  8. Develops and foster team building and facilitate meeting and groups as needed.
  9. Performs all other duties of similar nature or level as requested by management.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  1. Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Management or related field and 3 years experience supervising employees in a food manufacturing environment or an equivalent amount of education and experience to effectively complete the essential functions of the job.
  2. Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others.
  4. Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervision.
  5. Ability to recognize problem situations, and take the appropriate steps to resolve in a timely manner.
  6. Must have the ability to do multi-functional tasks and perform them simultaneously.
  7. Strong organizational and mechanical skills are essential.
  8. Ability to train and motivate employees.
  9. Must be able to work overtime, weekends or on other shifts when necessary
  10. Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP.
  11. Bilingual: English and Spanish
