Sausage Corn Chowder
Sausage Corn Chowder

Serving Size:
Simply Potatoes® Diced Potatoes 2 lbs.
Ground sausage 1 1/2 lbs.
Onion, chopped 1 medium
Bay leaf 1
Standard-sized cans of cream-style corn 2
Whole milk 5 cups
Cornstarch 1 Tbs.


1. In large pot, cook sausage until lightly browned; drain.
2. Add potatoes, onion, bay leaf, corn and milk. Simmer on low heat until potatoes are tender and chowder is hot. Do not boil.
3. To thicken, remove 1/4 cup of liquid from chowder. Add cornstarch and mix well.
4. Add cornstarch mixture back into warm chowder and stir well.


  • Serve with pita chips or cornbread
  • Daypart suggestion: lunch through dinner
