Angel Food Cake
Portions: 1 10-inch cake (12 slices)
Serving Size: 1 slice
Cake flour 1 cup
Confectioners’ sugar ½ cup
Liquid Egg Whites 2 ½ cups
Salt pinch
Cream of tartar 2 teaspoon
White sugar 1 ½ cups
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift cake flour and confectioners’ sugar together 2 times and set aside.
  2. In a large clean bowl, whip egg whites on medium speed with a pinch of salt until foamy. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar while beating, and continue to beat until very stiff. Blend in vanilla.
  3. Sift the flour mixture one more time into the egg mixture folding it in quickly.
  4. Pour into a 10 inch tube pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 43-45 minutes.
  6. As soon as the cake is removed from the oven place upside down on the counter until completely cooled, about 2-3 hours.
