MICHAEL FOODS AT 2012 NACUFS NATIONAL CONFERENCE, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
NACUFS National Conference, July 10 – 14, Boston, Massachusetts

MINNETONKA, MN – 28 May 2012 – The 2012 National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS) National Conference will be held in historic Boston, Massachusetts this year. This year’s conference theme is “Revolutionary Thinking.” This year’s showcase will include over 360 exhibitors, including 3M Company, Butterball Foodservice, McCormick for Chefs, and PepsiCo Foodservice.

Keynote speaker, Dr. John Francis will share amazing environmental stories like how years ago, out of responsibility for the planet, he stopped using motorized vehicles and walked wherever he went. Ironically, he will also talk about the amazing 17 year vow of silence he took. Other speakers include James Beard Award Winner, Ming Tsai. Tsai is a national spokesperson for the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) and developed the Food Allergy Reference book that helps food allergic people dine safely.

Special events include a golf outing, a tour of University of Massachusetts, Amherst, pre-conference catering and retail workshops on July 10th. One of the general sessions will include discussions about a Sustainable Seafood Panel. The conference will close with a special event at Tufts University called “Down East - a Taste of New England.”
