Loaded Birria Hash Browns

Servings:  Serves 1 / Shareable Size Appetizer

Ingredients

Vegetable oil, plus 1/8 cup for griddle
1/3 cup
Prepared Birria beef
1 cup
Cotija cheese
2 Tbsp.
Cilantro, chopped
2 Tbsp.
Red onion, diced
2 Tbsp.
Pickled jalapeno slices
2 Tbsp.
Mexican Crema
2 Tbsp.
Garnish with lime wedges

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat Griddle or sauté pan to 375°F-400 °F
  2. Place potatoes on a preheated and oiled (1/8 cup) grill.
  3. Pour additional 1/3 cup of vegetable oil on the top of the potatoes.
  4. Allow potatoes to cook, undisturbed, until bottom shreds are golden brown (3-6 minutes).
  5. Flip potatoes and fry for an additional 4-5 minutes.
  6. Move cooked hash browns to serving dish.
  7. Top with additional ingredients starting with the heated, prepared Birria beef and ending with a drizzle of Mexican Crema.
