Steakhouse Wedge Salad with Fried Hash Brown Topping

Ingredients

Iceberg lettuce, cut into 4 equal wedges
1 head
Grape tomatoes, halved and blistered under broiler
1 cup
Red onion, small dice
¼ medium sized
Bacon, cooked and crumbled
8 slices
Balsamic glaze
1/4 cup
Blue cheese, crumbled
4 oz.
Peppercorn dressing
Black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat deep fryer to 350˚F.
  2. Place hash browns in deep fryer. Cook about 90 seconds, stirring continuously with a tongs or other metal utensil to fry evenly to golden brown.
  3. Remove from fryer and place on paper towel.
  4. Seasoning with salt immediately after removed from fryer oil.
  5. Prepare salad by cutting iceberg lettuce into 4 equal wedge pieces and place on serving dish.
  6. Pour peppercorn dressing over top of lettuce.
  7. Top with blistered tomatoes, chopped onions, crumbled blue cheese, bacon, and hard cooked egg.
  8. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  9. Add fried hash browns.
  10. Garnish with fresh cracked black pepper and serve.
