- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
- Spread cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer apples on two slices.
- Drizzle caramel over apples.
- Top with remaining bread (cream cheese sides facing inward).
- Griddle with melted butter until nicely browned and warmed throughout.
- Let rest 1 minute. Slice diagonally. Drizzle with more caramel.
